Our Old Farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and is a beautiful mix of the traditional and contemporary. While you will be delighted by the original exposed brickwork and inglenook fireplace with log burner, you can also enjoy the large modern kitchen, and bright and airy bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. There is also a 52-inch SMART TV with DVD for a quiet night in. There is parking available in front of the Farmhouse, with wonderful views across the surrounding forest. The Farmhouse can be hired as a self-contained, self-catering holiday accommodation or as a function space for events, family parties or group bookings.
Nutley Edge sits on the border of the Ashdown Forest. The stunning views and wide open spaces make the forest a popular choice for walkers. There are over 50 car parks in the forest, which means you can easily access the parts you want to explore.
The site is within 2 miles of Nutley village, which has a couple of great restaurants and a small convenience store, and the nearby town of Uckfield, with larger shops, pubs and amenities, including a cinema and indoor pool. This property is also only a short distance from the south coast, with the seaside resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne both less than an hour’s drive away.
Outside: This cottage is set within the enclosed grounds of Nutley Edge, which has 11 acres of rolling pasture and forest, comfortable outside seating areas, picnic tables and children’s play equipment, wildlife pond and stream with our own ‘pooh bridge’
Amenities: Free parking on the site. Bed linen, towels, WIFI and electric and central heating included. No smoking in the cottages. Pets welcome at £35 per dog, maximum of two per booking. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times with the exception of the designated dog paddock (at owners risk)
The Old Farmhouse is a two storey building with a large kitchen, two cloakrooms, lounge and dining space on the ground floor, with TV, DVD and WIFI. Kitchen: with separate fridge and freezer, an electric range style cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, ironing board and iron, and cutlery/cooking utensils.
On the first floor are four bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. The bedrooms can be used as twins or doubles depending on your requirements, and all bedrooms have wardrobes and storage space. There is a separate family bathroom with shower and bath tub.
Outside: picnic area which can be used for BBQs.
