Sycamore is a wheelchair-accessible cottage that has been specially designed to allow people with a physical disability to enjoy Nutley Edge. The cottage is on two floors. The ground floor is completely wheelchair-accessible. There is a bedroom with a fully adjustable electric bed, a wide bathroom with grab rails and shower chair, and a spacious kitchen/diner and lounge. There is a second bedroom upstairs, with zip and link beds so it can be made up as a twin or super king room. Sycamore Cottage is located around Nutley Edge’s central courtyard, where you have a personal outdoor decking area to sit and relax. There is designated parking outside the cottage.
All our cottages are very close to Nutley village, which has a couple of great restaurants and a small convenience store. The nearby village of Forest Row is an excellent choice for coffee shops, restaurants and tea rooms, and the excellent Duddleswell Tea Rooms in the heart of the Ashdown Forest is a lovely place to go for a cream teas .This property is also only a short distance from the south coast, with the seaside resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne both less than an hour’s drive away.
Outside: This cottage is set within the enclosed grounds of Nutley Edge, which boasts 11 acres of beautiful farmland and rare ancient Gill woodland, which even has its own stream, perfect for a game of Pooh sticks.
Amenities: Bed linen, towels, WIFI and oil heating included. You will find an arrival pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk.
No smoking in the cottages. Pets welcome at a cost of £35 per dog with a maximum of two per cottage. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times unless in the designated dog paddock (at owners risk)
This two-storey cottage has a ramped entrance that leads directly into the lounge, where you also find a kitchen/diner. Kitchen: with fridge, electric cooker, hob, washing machine, microwave, kettle, ironing board and iron, and cutlery/cooking utensils. The downstairs bedroom has a fully adjustable electric single bed, and the wheelchair-accessible wet room is also on the ground floor.
A manual Oxford Midi hoist can be hired for £10 per day. Please phone the office to check availability.
